Guests!

It was such a treat to have Trevor's parents come and visit us. It is the first time we really felt like we had a place for someone to stay when they came to see us. We had a great time with them. We loved showing them around College Station.

They even helped us with a home improvement project! Yahoo!

Thanksgiving

Having Thanksgiving at Nate and Stephs was so fun! It felt so much like a big family dinner and was so yummy! What a great family.

Miracle #3 - A New Place to Live

We love our new house! It is so perfect for us. It has a lot more room and we are so proud of it! Yay for Texas trailer parks :) Seriously though, we have awesome neighbors and couldn't be happier. It was such a blessing and miracle how everything worked out for us to move in here. Once we found the place we wanted the hardest part was trying to sell our apartment contract mid semester. Yikes! But everything fell perfectly into place. Someone took over our contract the very next day after we moved out. We know that Heavenly Father is in the details of our lives and that He loves His children. We feel so blessed.

Settling In

Texas is treating us so great. We love it! Our ward is amazing. We have been invited over to lots of peoples' houses for dinner and have made some great friends. Alice and I have gotten into a routine of swimming in the afternoon. We don't always last long but it helps to cool us down. On Saturday when we went down we saw a family there that happens to be in our ward. Yay! Another friend in the apartment complex :)

Alice is growing up fast and we really enjoy seeing her learn so many new things. She really likes helping mom with dishes because there are  "bubbles!" She also really likes to go "bye-bye." She will let you know when she wants to leave because she brings you your shoes and then her shoes and once everyone has their shoes on she goes and knocks on the door. :)

Miralce #2 - Finding Friends

Welcome to Texas! We are here. We made it. The drive took us a few days and my mom flew down with Alice and met us in College Station. It was great to have her help and we are settling in nicely.

The day we were moving our stuff in, someone else was doing the same thing on the other side of our complex. They saw our license plates from Idaho and our baby furniture and they decided to come introduce themselves. They are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints too! How amazing that all the trouble we had with finding an apartment led us to move into this building on the same day they were moving in. We know that God's hand is in our lives and that meeting these new friends is not a coincidence. How amazing. We are so grateful that we know someone here now.

Fife

Just a bit of Texas news (and a reason to post a picture of our cute girl). We have decided to take "Kitty Fife" with us to Texas. She will come down to live with us once we find a house. Alice loves this cat and she is a great mouse/bug catcher! These are all great qualities for a Texas pet. Yay!

Miracle #1 - A Place to Live

Of course this little cutie is a big miracle in our life.  We are so excited for the things she will learn in Texas. Miracle #1 we wanted to tell everyone about was our hunt for a place to live. We had two great options lined up. Plan A we were sure was going to work. Plan B was the perfect back up. Both fell through in one day. Uh-oh! Many many weeks of searching and for odd reasons things would not work out. With the kind help of a Texas Bishop's wife and we know the guiding hand of our Heavenly Father we found our apartment with just a few weeks to spare. We know it will be perfect.

Inspiration

We are about to begin the Terrill adventure to Texas. We are so excited, and I decided that we need a way to share our experiences with those we love. And hence, the birth of a new blog. Tonight I was reading a friends blog. She posted about "little miracles" that happened to her the day her car got broken into. She reminded me that we can see the good in people when bad things happen. There are so many little miracles that have helped us prepare for our Texas adventure. I know there will be more to come. Please enjoy being reminded of the little miracles in your life as you follow our blog.
